More About Mesothelioma Specialist Dr. Eric Vallieres
Mesothelioma is a rare type of cancer that usually begins in the lining of the lungs or abdominal cavity. Asbestos exposure is the only cause of mesothelioma. Most cases of mesothelioma are pleural mesothelioma. This type of mesothelioma forms in the lining of the lungs and is Dr. Vallieres’ area of expertise.
Dr. Vallieres is Medical Director of the Division of Thoracic Surgery and Surgical Director of the Lung Cancer Program at Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, Washington. He and Dr. Adam Bograd work in tandem at the cancer center.
Dr. Vallieres previously was an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Washington.
Treatment of Pleural Mesothelioma
