Karen Ritter has been a registered nurse for over 28 years, she is an ovarian cancer survivor, was a caregiver to her mom with lung cancer and a caregiver for her dad who had Alzheimer’s.
As a Nurse Navigator with Mesothelioma Guide, she is dedicated to helping patients with mesothelioma find the best mesothelioma specialists, treatment centers, and advanced treatment options available. Karen has a passion to connect with her patients and their family members to make sure they know they are not alone in this journey. She understands that this diagnosis comes with a number of questions, fears, and burdens. None of these areas are left untouched, Karen’s goal is to educate and equip patients and families with everything they need to navigate this cancer diagnosis with grace, dignity and comfort.

I come alongside them during some of the most difficult times in their lives - I share in their achievements, their hopes, and their grief. With each family, I give a little part of myself - making sure they know they are not alone.”
Carl Jewett is a retired naval officer (LCDR) and the patient advocacy director for Mesothelioma Guide. He also serves as the executive director of the Veterans Assistance Network and is fully accredited by the VA.
After serving in the Navy’s submarine force for just under 24 years, Commander Jewett retired from active duty in the Navy and assumed the executive director position at the Veterans Assistance Network. Since that time, he has helped over 1000 veterans with asbestos illnesses get approved for VA Disability Compensation and Pension.
He has been married for over 30 years and has three adult children.

He enjoys designing while focusing on the experience of the user. Tercio was born in São Paulo, Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer, video games, and spending time at home with his girlfriend and their two cats.

On a daily basis, he is working towards creating a user-friendly website that allows easy accessibility of information to anyone utilizing our website.
